This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Manages and collaborates with the General Manager on various hotel functions.
• Oversees all facets of hotel operations including guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, finances, team building, and staff development.
• Delivers the highest quality of customer service.
• Ensures that budgeted revenues and profits are met.
• Interprets company policies and maintains a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety programs and job safety analysis.
• Guarantees adherence to the Guarantee of Fair Treatment policy.
• Monitors staff training initiatives to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with standard procedures and practices.
• Leads, directs, and communicates with staff to keep them informed and motivated.
• Coaches and counsels employees to promote positive behaviors and address negative behaviors.
• Manages a variety of employee-related issues such as general employment matters, paperwork, PANs, and training.
• Observes and addresses various guest service trends and concerns.
• Engages in a range of sales duties and activities.
• Conducts various property inspections to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Ensures that all assigned equipment is maintained according to service standards.
• Serves as the primary contact for vendors regarding supplies.
• Manages a range of food and beverage services and functions.
• Defines and clarifies the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all assigned employees.
• Fosters teamwork and enhances employee morale.
• Analyzes and resolves workplace issues or assists employees in addressing work-related problems.
• Aids in moving luggage, packages, furniture, etc., which may weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Champions and promotes the CARES program with all staff.
• Additional related managerial duties may also be assigned or required.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Documented progressive hotel experience with a minimum of 4 years in Management roles within hotels of a similar size and caliber.
• At least five (5) years of work experience in hotels.
• A minimum of two years of direct experience as a Housekeeping Manager.
• A minimum of two years of direct experience as a Front Desk Manager.
• The candidate is required to receive a flu shot prior to hiring and annually thereafter.
• Proficient in computer skills, with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Salary based on experience & FEHB Benefits.
• 4x4 rotation with housing and meals included.
• Client-provided manager housing.
• Roundtrip coach airfare between Anchorage, AK and Bethel, AK.
