This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Respond to incoming patient scheduling inquiries while meeting department service level objectives and effectively addressing their concerns.
• Engage with patients to accurately schedule, reschedule, or cancel their primary care appointments, adhering to practice scheduling guidelines and tools.
• Collect and enter all necessary patient demographic and insurance details with precision.
• Employ professional communication skills and active listening to assist patients with their scheduling requirements.
• Foster a safe and trustworthy atmosphere for patients by utilizing both scripted and unscripted communication approaches.
• De-escalate issues involving dissatisfied customers, providing patient support and assistance, and refer any arising problems to management.
• Navigate and operate multiple software systems using dual monitors effectively.
• Keep documentation systems updated with accurate information.
• Ensure the confidentiality of account details while delivering exceptional customer service to all clients.
• Support additional projects as directed by management.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED is mandatory. An Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a medical environment, or one year of prior healthcare call center or customer service experience, or three or more years in a call center role. Basic healthcare knowledge is essential.
• Proficient in using Windows Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and capable of learning specialized computer software.
• Possess a professional and articulate communication style, with the ability to multitask across various applications while engaging with clients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry is required. Must be adaptable to new business environments and able to work effectively in a remote team setting.
• Residency in the United States is required.
• Preferred Skills: Ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute.
• Technology requirements: Internet download speed of 100mbps and upload speed of 20mbps.
