This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver comprehensive customer support within the HMMS program.
• Daily monitor and process SDS requests, including conducting necessary research.
• Engage directly with customers to address their requests.
• Input SDS data in accordance with SOP guidelines.
• Keep updated on OSHA Hazard Communication 29 CFR 1910.1200 and changes to Globally Harmonized System policies.
• Conduct regular data verification and reconciliation to maintain the integrity of HMMS SDS data.
• Retain access to the DLA FLIS system for research purposes.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for HMMS SDS requests.
• Support the System Administrator and/or DBA with the maintenance of HMMS application, software, and system configurations.
• Review CAGE/Company information for accuracy.
• Verify the correctness of Chemical information.
• Review and manage records marked as Ready for QA.
• Participate in internal demonstrations and meetings.
• Undertake other assigned duties.
• Limited travel may be required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Capable of verifying U.S. employment eligibility using Form I-9.
• Ability to secure a U.S. Government security clearance and Common Access Card.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of data entry experience, ideally in the Environmental domain.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• A six-month trial/probation period may be necessary.
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets.
• Knowledge of the Chemical Abstract Substance registry.
• Understanding of 29 CFR 1910.1200 OSHA Hazard Communication.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies on compliance programs, including OSHA, EPA, State, and Local requirements.
• Proficient in performing Quality Assurance procedures on data entry.
• Possess analytical skills for data modeling.
• Ability to utilize reporting tools for data verification and validation.
• Skilled in using automated equipment such as computer terminals, scanners, and facsimile machines.
• Knowledgeable about Hazardous Materials and/or Hazardous Waste.
• Familiarity with the Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS).
• Ability to convey clear and concise information tailored to the intended audience.
• Capable of typing at least 35 words per minute.
