High School Teacher – Advisory and Electives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Assist the instructional program by facilitating asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous teaching.

• Carry out grading responsibilities and hold parent conferences promptly.

• Engage with parents, students, and teachers to formulate and revise Personal Learning Plans and schedules.

• Offer constructive feedback on student assignments and recommend instructional methods and strategies.

• Oversee the completion of assignments and provide guidance for special projects.

• Acquire a general understanding of the K-12 curriculum and an in-depth knowledge of the specific grades assigned.

• Assist students and parents with alternative strategies and additional support for assignments and projects.

• Keep current student records, attendance logs, and student/parent communication logs.

• Collaborate with team members and staff learning specialists on enrichment initiatives and program adjustments.

• Establish and nurture a virtual school community.

• Supervise benchmark and diagnostic assessments.

• Participate in State Testing activities.

• Join field trips and community events.

• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach grades 9–12 in Kansas.

• Candidates with a valid teaching license from another state may be considered if they are able to transfer or acquire a Kansas teaching license upon hiring.

• Proficient in technology, particularly with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Established track record as a collaborative team player.
