This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum to cater to the unique needs of each student while ensuring alignment with state content standards.

• Collaborate with general education teachers through individualized and small-group sessions.

• Educate parents on effective instructional strategies.

• Implement the RTI instructional system to enhance student achievement.

• Oversee the collection of data and monitor progress at every tier.

• Utilize data to assist teachers in planning both whole- and small-group instruction.

• Guide teachers in recognizing and grouping students who require additional assistance.

• Collect and maintain RTI data along with intervention plans.

• Serve as a daily resource for RTI to school administrators, leadership teams, and stakeholders.

• Coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions in collaboration with homeroom teachers, advisors, counselors, and district personnel.

• Provide ongoing training and support regarding RTI and data collection procedures.

• Assist teachers in documenting student progress.

• Collaborate with the special education team to facilitate the eligibility process for special education.

• Be prepared to travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or school-related requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• Active state teaching license.

• Arizona Department of Education High School Special Education Teaching Certification.

• Arizona fingerprinting card.

• Ability to pass the required background check.

• Must reside in Arizona; candidates from surrounding states may be considered.

• 0–1 year of relevant professional experience.

• Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.

• Capacity to maintain a professional home office without distractions during work hours.

• Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data for instructional decisions.

• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.

• Willingness to embrace change and adapt accordingly.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Capacity to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% for professional development, student testing, and/or school-related requirements.

• Desired: experience with the proposed age group.

• Desired: experience in supporting adults and children through technology.

• Desired: teaching experience in online or brick-and-mortar settings.

• Desired: experience with online learning platforms.
