High School Math Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Facilitate specific course material in an online setting

• Offer instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning experience and concentrating on the individual needs of students

• Track student progress using the learning management system

• Collaborate closely with students and parents/Learning Coaches to enhance each student's learning towards set objectives

• Occasionally travel throughout the year for various school events and state testing as mandated by the school

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree

• Six (6) months of experience in student teaching

• Fulfill requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) in the relevant subject area as stipulated by No Child Left Behind (NCLB)

• Possess pedagogical knowledge of the content being instructed

• Demonstrate the ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure outstanding student outcomes

• Exhibit independent problem-solving skills and maintain a high level of organization

• Willingness to travel as needed (averaging once per month and/or about 10% of the time)

• Have access to reliable high-speed internet

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Capable of quickly learning and adjusting to new technologies and teaching platforms

• Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and proficiency in technology systems, programs, and curriculum

• Must pass a required background check
