This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Deliver designated course content in an online setting.
• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process.
• Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction according to student mastery.
• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Facilitate both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
• Manage the grade book and make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional matters, as well as basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to analyze and create representations of student data, utilizing this data to inform instructional decisions.
• Be willing to travel up to 20% for in-person professional development, student testing, and school obligations.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active state teaching license.
• Arizona Teaching Certification.
• Arizona Finger Printing Card.
• Capability to pass the required background check.
• Must reside in Arizona; candidates from neighboring states may be considered.
• 0–1 year of relevant professional experience as specified.
• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Capacity to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours.
• Ability to collaborate with other educators and leverage student data to inform instructional strategies.
• Open to regular guidance from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to ensure optimal student outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Preferred: experience working with the specified age group.
• Preferred: experience assisting adults and children with technology usage.
• Preferred: experience teaching online/virtually and/or in a traditional classroom setting.
