High Net Worth Tax Principal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee compliance and consulting services for high-net-worth individuals, affluent multi-generational families, family offices, and their private businesses or investment entities.

• Conduct technical reviews of intricate individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift, and state tax returns.

• Manage multiple projects that provide proactive tax planning and strategic consulting, which includes federal, estate, gift, charitable planning, and generation-skipping tax.

• Offer advice and recommendations to clients regarding business succession planning.

• Enhance technical expertise by staying informed on trends, developments, and technical authorities and applying this knowledge to complex scenarios.

• Oversee client engagement staffing, billing/collections, and ensure that client profitability targets are achieved.

• Leverage entrepreneurial abilities to network and cultivate strong relationships both internally and externally with the aim of attracting new clients, projects, and revenue.

• Foster the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, assisting associates in achieving their professional aspirations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or law is required.

• CPA or JD designation is mandatory.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in tax planning and consulting for affluent individuals, their family members, trusts, investment entities, and private businesses.

• At least six (6) years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.

• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is strongly preferred.
