HealthShare Application Engineer – Overnight Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the support and maintenance of InterSystems HealthShare, Health Connect, IRIS, and associated platform technologies within production settings.

• Design and execute automation solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing software delivery workflows.

• Administer Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and oversee deployment procedures.

• Conduct system administration tasks that include installation, configuration, patching, backup, recovery, and performance optimization.

• Oversee certificate lifecycle management and support security integrations such as OAuth, SSO, and ADFS.

• Deliver Tier 3 production support and troubleshoot issues related to HealthShare applications and their infrastructure.

• Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and operational tools to guarantee platform availability and dependability.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate technical challenges.

• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required to help achieve team objectives and ensure project success.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in information technology, healthcare IT, or federal government contracting environments.

• Practical experience in supporting InterSystems HealthShare, Health Connect, IRIS, Ensemble, or Cache environments.

• Proficiency in administering Linux/Unix-based systems and managing large middleware applications.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.

• Experience in developing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, or similar solutions.

• Understanding of OAuth, SSO, certificate management, and enterprise authentication technologies.

• Awareness of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and contemporary software delivery processes.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.

• Additional Qualifications: Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare systems or other federal healthcare programs.

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability platforms and technologies.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or a comparable cloud certification.

• Experience in Python scripting and infrastructure automation.

• Background in supporting highly available production environments and on-call operations.

• Capacity to obtain and sustain a government clearance.
