• Provide assistance with coding patient visits at the conclusion of each day.
• Aid in organizing and supporting clinical documentation related to patient visits.
• Review documentation to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Submit prior authorization requests to insurance companies.
• Monitor authorization status and documentation needs.
• Dispatch specialist referrals.
• Coordinate documentation for referrals.
• Research and identify suitable specialist providers as needed.
• Review and enter laboratory results into the system.
• Maintain precise clinical documentation and patient records.
• Assist in organizing patient charts and documentation.
• Provide general administrative assistance to lessen the provider's workload.
• Identify and flag potential claim issues or denials for the provider's review.
• Make occasional phone calls related to referrals or administrative coordination.
• Preferred background in healthcare (nursing, medical assistant, clinical support, or similar).
• Prior experience as a virtual assistant is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing and coding concepts is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Medical license or certification is not required.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in speaking and writing English clearly.
• Relevant work experience is required.
• Ability to provide an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check prior to onboarding [mandatory].
• Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (as needed).
• Capability to review documentation attentively and identify any missing information.
• Comfortable assisting with visit documentation and coding preparation.
• Experience in submitting and tracking authorization requests is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and patient records effectively.
• Comfortable completing assignments without constant supervision.
• Clear and professional communication with healthcare offices and providers is necessary.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Charm preferred) is desirable.
