This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of cost accounting and service line margin projects for hospitals and healthcare systems.

• Utilize various costing methodologies such as Time-Driven Activity-Based Costing (TDABC) and step-down approaches.

• Link cost intelligence directly to critical client decisions.

• Serve a key role in decision support offerings.

• Collaborate with project and relationship leaders during client engagements with CFOs and VP Finance stakeholders.

• Aid in the creation of reusable engagement playbooks and delivery templates.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in healthcare finance consulting or finance within healthcare providers, with direct involvement in decision support, cost accounting, or service line financial analytics.

• 2 to 3 years of practical experience with StrataJazz Decision Support or a similar healthcare EPM/cost accounting system.

• Proven track record in building and presenting service line margin analyses, service line P&Ls, or DRG-level cost models.

• Established capability to lead consulting projects or significant workstreams.

• Experience in converting complex cost and margin analyses into straightforward, decision-ready insights for finance leaders.

• Strong consulting toolkit, encompassing client-ready deliverables, executive presentations, and financial models.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Demonstrated aptitude for mentoring and developing junior team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or CPA/MBA is a plus.
