This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with program managers, domain specialists, and end users to gather and clarify business and functional data requirements.
• Document requirements, data definitions, and business rules to ensure that technical teams understand what is necessary and why.
• Convert stakeholder needs into clear deliverables such as requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Reassess and refine requirements as priorities or feedback change.
• Evaluate existing data workflows and business processes to pinpoint inefficiencies, delays, or manual workarounds.
• Assist in shaping improvements that enhance operations and boost data availability and usability.
• Ensure that analytics and reporting are aligned with the actual functioning of the organization.
• Analyze integrated datasets to generate insights that support operational and leadership decisions.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau or Qlik, emphasizing clarity and usability.
• Write and validate SQL queries to facilitate analysis, reporting logic, and data verification.
• Ensure that metrics are well-defined, accurate, and consistent across reports.
• Collaborate with technical and QA teams to verify that data outputs meet business requirements.
• Conduct high-level validations to ensure that results are sensible in context, not just from a technical standpoint.
• Assist in identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or definition issues before delivering data to stakeholders.
• Create and maintain documentation, including requirements specifications, data dictionaries, and report user guides.
• Clearly communicate findings to non-technical audiences, translating data into actionable insights.
• Proven experience in data analysis, business analysis, or analytics roles within complex or regulated environments.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
• Solid SQL experience for querying, validating, and analyzing data.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau or Qlik (or similar BI tools).
• Capability to articulate data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with healthcare or federal data environments. (Preferred)
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards or models (e.g., HL7/FHIR, OMOP), even at a conceptual level. (Preferred)
• Experience using Excel and/or Python (pandas) for deeper or ad hoc analysis. (Preferred)
• Understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations in regulated settings. (Preferred)
