Health System Specialist, Clinical Informatics – Mid/Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide support for the essential functions of enterprise clinical information systems to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

• Aid physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in resolving issues related to EHR, CPRS/VistA, clinical applications, and associated tools.

• Evaluate the information and knowledge needs of healthcare providers and patients; analyze, assess, and enhance clinical processes.

• Create, execute, assess, and enhance clinical informatics tools, clinical decision support systems, templates, reminders, workflows, training materials, and user instructions.

• Organize work groups, stakeholder meetings, user engagement sessions, training activities, and facilitate communication across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare operations, EHR support, clinical applications, or health systems improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health informatics, healthcare administration, information systems, public health, or a related field.

• Experience in supporting VA/VHA, OHI, CIDMO, FIS, HI CoP, HITT, CIOC, IRCP, EHRM, VistA/CPRS, Clinical Reminders, or SharePoint-based field communications.

• Familiarity with healthcare business and clinical operations, clinical workflows, patient safety, and the VHA culture.

• Proficient in designing end-to-end data pipelines and dimensional data models.
