Health Science Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee instructional programs.

• Regularly consult with caretakers, Learning Coaches, and students to ensure successful completion of each student's instructional program.

• Facilitate a homeroom of students, serving as a role model and mentor throughout the academic year.

• Assist students and families with essential tasks during the school year, including Welcome Calls, Intent to Return, and monthly WSLP Progress Checks.

• Conduct at least one synchronous LiveLesson per course, or a mix of synchronous LiveLesson and office hours each week.

• Function within the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework.

• Consistently evaluate all submitted assignments within 8 days of their submission.

• Review curriculum and develop alternative methods for presenting lessons to enhance student comprehension.

• Provide students and caretakers with alternative lessons, assessments, and strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Washington teacher certification in Health Support Service Careers (V510710) or other CTE Credentials.

• Residency in Washington is preferred.

• Proven track record as a team player, highly adaptable, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong technology proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products, synchronous classroom software such as Zoom, third-party educational tools like Nearpod, and data collection and analysis tools, including spreadsheets and databases.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to engage effectively with staff, students, and families from diverse cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds.

• Keen attention to detail, with demonstrated time management and organizational capabilities, particularly when working independently.

• Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues to promote and nurture an inclusive work and school environment supportive of individuals from various races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, genders, and sexual orientations.

• Student- and family-centered approach, with a demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom that acknowledges and supports students from diverse backgrounds and identities.

• Willingness to travel for one or two weeks at a time for key school events, including overnight travel for activities such as back-to-school training, state testing, graduation ceremonies, marketing events, and field trips.
