Health IT Program Manager II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Direct the planning, coordination, and implementation of enterprise EHR and associated Health IT initiatives.

• Create and sustain integrated program roadmaps, timelines, dependencies, and key milestones.

• Establish and oversee program governance frameworks.

• Recognize, evaluate, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies at the program level.

• Supervise program performance metrics, status updates, and dashboards for executive review.

• Assist in acquisition planning, contract execution, and oversight of contractor performance.

• Ensure that program activities are compliant with federal IT policy, security standards, and healthcare regulations.

• Provide counsel to senior leadership regarding program status, trade-offs, resource requirements, and strategic implications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven project management experience is essential.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatory.

• In-depth knowledge of enterprise Health IT systems, particularly EHR modernization.

• Comprehensive understanding of federal IT policy and healthcare regulations.

• Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale, multi-faceted Health IT programs.

• Strong skills in strategic planning, including the development and maintenance of integrated program roadmaps.

• Advanced capabilities in stakeholder engagement and coordination.

• Expertise in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning for complex IT initiatives.

• Capability to oversee program performance metrics and status reporting.

• Experience in supporting acquisition planning, contract execution, and contractor performance oversight within a federal context.

• Exceptional communication skills for executive-level interactions.
