Health Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Motivate, collaborate, and partner with a group of members aiming to enhance healthy lifestyle habits in areas like weight management, improved nutrition, increased physical activity, stress management, and the prevention/management of chronic health issues.

• Provide coaching through our comprehensive range of programs focused on both mental and physical well-being.

• Engage with your members via individual and group video calls, along with electronic messaging, adhering to the established program cadence expectations.

• Utilize coaching skills and competencies within a Motivational Interviewing framework to assist members in establishing specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) health objectives.

• Record essential information during video consultations with members using the appropriate applications.

• Work in conjunction with other providers as necessary within a coordinated care team to guarantee the suitable level of care and an exceptional member experience.

• Keep updated on all training requirements and communications.

• Adhere to department policies and procedures as outlined in provider manual documents.

• Achieve or surpass target guidelines for consult time management.

• Meet or exceed quality metrics and efficiency benchmarks at the provider level.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in a health-related field is required (such as nutrition, public health, exercise physiology, psychology, health science, or health education).

• A health coaching certification from an accredited program approved by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) (e.g., Wellcoaches, Duke Integrative).

• At least 3 years of experience coaching members individually on health objectives post certification from an approved health coaching program.

• Must successfully complete Vida’s Mock Motivational Interview session.

• A strong familiarity with technology, including GSuite (GCalendar, GSheets, GDocs, etc.), Slack, and other basic software applications is essential.

• CHES or NBC-HWC certification is preferred.

• Proficiency in Spanish is a significant advantage!
