This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Become a part of Tether and help shape the future of digital finance.
• Develop and implement global regulatory affairs strategies for our Tether Data business segment.
• Track, analyze, and communicate updates in global regulatory policies.
• Provide guidance to executive leadership regarding potential regulatory risks and opportunities.
• Lead initiatives aimed at influencing regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure proactive compliance with applicable national and international regulations.
• Take the lead or participate in interactions with regulatory agencies and advocacy efforts.
• Collaborate with pertinent regulatory authorities, industry organizations, cooperative communities, and policymakers.
• Work with internal teams to incorporate regulatory considerations into the design and deployment of AI models and technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior regulatory position, preferably within the technology, AI, or digital sectors.
• Significant hands-on experience in AI regulation is essential (non-negotiable).
• Expertise in AI governance and policy not only in Europe but also across various jurisdictions (this is a must due to the global nature of the role).
• Strong understanding of global AI regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), and emerging trends in AI and P2P governance.
• A background in law, compliance, or policy with a solid understanding of ethical AI principles is advantageous.
• Proven understanding of decentralized, self-sovereign, and locally executed AI/P2P architectures—and the regulatory implications of these models—distinct from conventional centralized platform approaches.
• Demonstrated experience working with regulators and governmental bodies in a regulatory advisory capacity, achieving favorable policy positions for another organization.
• Proficiency in preparing complex regulatory documents and other significant regulatory submissions, including leading interactions with regulatory authorities.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law, Policy, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics for non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across borders and time zones.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in public speaking and representing companies in regulatory discussions.
• Must be a strong collaborator and willing to engage fully with key stakeholders within our company and with our partners.
• Must be a hands-on professional who can work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
