This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• We are seeking a Head of Creative Strategy to take ownership and advance the creative product within our comprehensive client portfolio.
• This position is not a traditional creative director role.
• You will be the driving force behind a performance creative engine, responsible for developing frameworks, implementing best practices, mentoring strategists, and ensuring every format, hook, and concept we launch is based on proven effectiveness at scale.
• Your role will intersect creative excellence with direct response performance.
• You possess a deep understanding of platform dynamics, know what captures attention and converts, and have the leadership skills to enhance the output of an entire team, from junior strategists to editors, as well as clients who observe the process in real time.
• You will establish the creative standards across all clients, formats, and platforms.
• You will monitor emerging trends on Meta and TikTok before they become widely recognized, translating these insights into SOPs, playbooks, and best practice frameworks to ensure individual successes lead to scalable systems.
• Collaboration with our head of talent will be essential to align creative strategy with the creator process seamlessly.
• You will oversee the creative aspect of onboarding new clients, developing frameworks that achieve quick wins and turn the initial month into a proof of concept rather than just a ramp-up period.
• When a founder or CMO seeks to understand the reasons behind underperforming creative, you will be the senior creative authority in the discussion, articulating creative strategy with confidence and providing constructive feedback without compromising assurance.
• You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in performance creative, primarily at an agency managing a broad portfolio of clients concurrently.
• You are adept at rapidly switching contexts—from a DTC skincare brand to a fitness application to a consumer tech launch—while maintaining a clear focus on each project.
• You have a track record of driving revenue, not merely creative output.
• The projects you have led have demonstrably impacted conversion rates, cost per acquisition, and the growth trajectory of the brands you have supported.
• You can specify and articulate what actions you took to achieve these results.
• You are truly fluent in direct response creative.
• You comprehend what induces a thumb-stop, what undermines conversion, how to identify a failing hook, and when to abandon a concept versus iterate on it.
• You hold strong opinions on what makes an advertisement effective on Meta compared to TikTok, and you can substantiate these with data from accounts you have managed.
• You have developed individuals, not just campaigns.
• You know how to cultivate a junior strategist, challenge a senior one, and lead a team that manages live client accounts under real performance pressure.
• You elevate standards without creating disorder, fostering cultures where creative decisions are evidence-based yet still allow for instinctual input.
• You have experience operating at scale and have thrived in high-volume environments.
