This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Propel sustainable revenue growth and enhance SANS' footprint within military, defense, law enforcement, and national security sectors in the UK & Ireland.
• Formulate and take ownership of the commercial strategy for the Military and Law Enforcement sectors in the UK & Ireland.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with high-ranking officials in military, policing, cyber, workforce development, and procurement.
• Identify, assess, and secure enterprise training agreements, Cyber Academies, and extensive workforce development initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans for key customers.
• Establish connections with defense industry partners, systems integrators, framework partners, and ecosystem entities.
• Convert customer challenges, emerging threats, and operational needs into unique, outcome-oriented solutions.
• Oversee pipeline management, sales forecasting, and opportunity reporting utilizing Salesforce.
• Recognize cybersecurity workforce capability gaps and design programs to bolster operational readiness and resilience.
• Promote the adoption and growth of SANS enterprise programs and Cyber Academies.
• Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to guide regional strategy and market entry activities.
• Act as the primary strategic liaison for senior stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
• Conduct executive business reviews to evaluate performance, demonstrate value, mitigate risks, and uncover additional opportunities.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Operations, and other internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Represent SANS at defense, security, policing, and cybersecurity conferences and industry events.
• Take ownership of revenue targets, KPIs, and business objectives.
• Lead intricate procurement, tender, and contract development processes in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Operations.
• Collaborate with teams across EMEA and the broader global SANS organization.
• Travel throughout the UK & Ireland and internationally as required.
• Significant, recent experience within the UK Armed Forces, Ministry of Defence, broader HMG, or national security organizations.
• Senior-level expertise within or directly supporting the cyber defense community.
• Direct experience with military, policing, or governmental structures, cultures, ranks, and chains of command.
• Established network of senior contacts in the UK Defense and Law Enforcement communities.
• Experience working in security-sensitive settings, including classified briefings and information handling protocols.
• Proficient understanding of HMG procurement frameworks and defense acquisition processes.
• Experience in negotiating, shaping, or supporting complex governmental or defense contracts.
• Background in account management and business development.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform for pipeline management and forecasting.
• Experience in building, leading, motivating, and coordinating a team, or clear potential and readiness to do so.
• Deep understanding of UK & Irish Military and Law Enforcement markets and funding cycles.
• Strong comprehension of cybersecurity threats, operational resilience, and workforce capability challenges.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influencing abilities.
• Strong skills in deal design and structuring.
• Proficiency in risk management and strategic thinking.
• Ability to narrate and translate SANS capabilities into compelling stories.
• Cross-functional collaboration and influence across EMEA and the global organization.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Educated to degree level or possess equivalent professional experience.
• Current UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance or eligibility to secure it.
• Willingness and capability to travel throughout the UK & Ireland and internationally as necessary.
• Desirable: Proven track record in surpassing revenue targets through consultative solution-based sales.
• Desirable: Experience in leading complex, high-value sales opportunities, tenders, and contract development.
• Desirable: Background in selling cybersecurity solutions, education, technical training, or workforce development programs.
• Desirable: Experience in international cyber defense exercises, strategic partnerships, external publications, or conference speaking.
• Developed Vetting (DV) clearance, cybersecurity or information security qualifications, and relevant professional memberships are advantageous.
