This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• We are seeking a proactive Quality & Manufacturing Ramp-Up Manager to spearhead the transition from pilot line to full-scale production at our manufacturing partners in China.
• In this role, you will serve as the vital connection between our design and engineering team in Amsterdam and the factory floor, converting product specifications into a manufacturable and quality-controlled process while overseeing the ramp-up plan from start to finish.
• This position lies at the crossroads of quality control and project management: part of your responsibilities will include establishing and enforcing quality systems to ensure that the output aligns with the designs created in Amsterdam; the other part involves planning, sequencing, and managing multiple workstreams (such as tooling, supplier qualification, staffing, pilot builds, and capacity ramp) necessary to meet our manufacturing readiness timelines.
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in manufacturing, with hands-on experience taking hardware products from pilot/NPI to volume production, preferably in energy storage or power electronics hardware.
• Familiarity with products that combine mechanical, electrical, and firmware elements.
• A background in electronics or electromechanical hardware manufacturing is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and methodologies (ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949, PPAP/APQP, SPC, 8D/CAPA), along with the ability to establish these systems from the ground up.
• Project management skills: capable of developing a ramp-up plan, holding cross-functional teams accountable, and adapting the plan as necessary.
• Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers or suppliers in Asia, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic overseas manufacturing environment on a daily basis.
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required.
• Comfortable navigating different time zones and cultures, acting as the liaison between the Amsterdam design team and the production team in China.
• Take ownership of a crucial phase in the company, transitioning from prototype to scaled manufacturing and having a significant impact on the production process.
• Collaborate directly with founders and leadership; enjoy a role with high autonomy and visibility.
• Join a prominent European scale-up at a pivotal moment in its growth trajectory.
• WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE WOMEN AND INDIVIDUALS FROM UNDERREPRESENTED BACKGROUNDS TO APPLY, EVEN IF YOU DO NOT MEET 100% OF THE STATED QUALIFICATIONS. POTENTIAL AND MOTIVATION ARE AS IMPORTANT AS EXPERIENCE.
