Head of IT Infrastructure – Datacenter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Strategic enhancement and consolidation of a hybrid data center and IT infrastructure landscape with a focus on scalability, standardization, and cloud transformation.

• Professional and disciplinary leadership of a data center and infrastructure team.

• Responsibility for managers and employees in the Operations and Automation teams.

• Management of company-wide transformation projects related to data center consolidation and cloud migration.

• Development of transparent service, operational, and cost models for the economic management of modern IT infrastructure services.

• Advancement of efficient IT operations processes.

• Creation of scalable integration standards for M&A and post-merger integration processes.

• Promotion of modern, cross-location collaboration in a hybrid work environment with regular travel requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in leading technical infrastructure, data center, or IT operations teams within complex corporate structures.

• In-depth knowledge of modern data center, virtualization, storage, network, and cloud architectures.

• Strong methodological understanding of IT service management, standardized operational processes, and service-oriented organizational models, ideally based on ITIL.

• Economic understanding of modern IT infrastructures and experience in IT controlling, cost modeling, or service-based billing models.

• Decisiveness, clear communication, and the ability to guide teams through change and transformation processes.

• Proficient communication in German and good English skills - within the team and with clients.

• Residence in Germany and eligibility to work.
