This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop and implement a thorough SEO strategy that aligns with business goals, focusing on enhancing organic search rankings, increasing organic traffic, and improving conversion rates.
• Lead and oversee a team of SEO specialists, offering guidance, mentorship, and performance reviews to foster their ongoing growth and success.
• Conduct keyword research and analysis to uncover relevant search terms and opportunities within the travel sector, optimizing website content accordingly.
• Create SEO audits, prioritize recommendations, and coordinate their effective execution with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor and assess website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms, providing regular reports with actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in SEO and user search behavior, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Perform comprehensive competitive analysis to identify industry trends and benchmark performance against competitors.
• Work alongside web development teams to embed SEO best practices within their website platforms, aiming to boost long-tail organic traffic.
• Collaborate with content development and translation teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into multilingual copywriting and translation processes.
• Stay updated on recent developments in the travel industry, such as emerging destinations, popular travel experiences, and customer preferences, and incorporate these insights into SEO strategies and content creation.
• Work closely with marketing teams to weave SEO strategies into broader marketing initiatives, including affiliate marketing, social media campaigns, email marketing, and digital advertising.
• Over 5 years of proven experience in a senior SEO role managing SEO processes, preferably within the travel industry, demonstrating a successful track record in enhancing organic search rankings and driving organic traffic growth.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate, align, and inspire a team of SEO specialists.
• Extensive knowledge of technical SEO, content strategies, link building practices, SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and tools, with specific experience in optimizing large-scale websites.
• Proficient in utilizing SEO tools and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, make data-driven decisions, and provide actionable insights for optimization.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple countries.
• Strong project management skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Results-oriented mindset focused on achieving measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
