This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and manage the stock administration function, encompassing policies, processes, controls, and systems
• Spearhead the transition from a legacy equity platform to a scalable equity administration system suitable for public companies, which includes vendor selection, data migration, testing, and implementation
• Ensure the integrity of the cap table and the accuracy of equity data during the platform transition and afterwards
• Design, implement, and oversee global equity compensation programs (e.g., stock options, RSUs, public-company readiness, ESPP)
• Manage the entire equity lifecycle: grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, terminations, modifications, and settlements
• Collaborate with Finance and Legal to facilitate public-company preparedness, including disclosures, governance, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Guarantee accurate and timely equity accounting in compliance with ASC 718 and public-company standards
• Oversee 409A valuation processes to ensure ongoing compliance
• Maintain relationships with external vendors, including equity platforms, valuation firms, tax advisors, and external auditors
• Work closely with People, Benefits & Compensation, and Recruiting to ensure equity programs are effectively communicated and understood
• Prepare equity processes and systems to be SOX-ready and scalable for a public company environment
• Utilize automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled tools to enhance data validation, reconciliation, reporting, and operational efficiency
• Exercise sound judgment regarding the use of AI in equity administration, focusing on data integrity, security, explainability, and appropriate controls
• Over 10 years of experience in stock administration, equity compensation, or related fields
• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling an equity administration function within a high-growth company
• Practical experience leading the transition from a legacy equity platform to a modern, public-company-ready equity system
• Direct experience in supporting IPO readiness and/or experience operating as a public company
• In-depth understanding of equity compensation plans, cap table management, and applicable tax and regulatory requirements
• Strong knowledge of equity accounting (ASC 718) and internal control frameworks
• Experience managing equity programs across various countries and jurisdictions
• Proven ability or strong inclination to leverage AI, automation, and advanced tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and insights in equity operations
• Keen attention to detail coupled with the ability to manage complex projects and timelines
• Effective and confident communicator able to explain equity concepts to employees, executives, and the Board
