Head of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will lead, inspire, and develop our existing finance team as well as external service providers, fostering a culture of trust and excellence.

• You will be accountable for strategic financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, providing data-driven decision support to the executive team.

• You will oversee the daily operations of finance and accounting and engage hands-on with complex tax and accounting issues when necessary.

• You will continuously enhance and automate our internal finance and accounting processes to efficiently support our growth.

• You will ensure the timely and precise preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and reconcile to IFRS.

• You will serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities, confidently managing tax and compliance matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess several years of robust professional experience in finance along with demonstrable leadership experience, preferably in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

• You have in-depth knowledge of German accounting law (HGB) and substantial experience with IFRS accounting.

• You are highly skilled in DATEV and modern ERP systems and have a strong inclination towards digital financial processes and automation.

• You have an analytical and structured approach to work, seamlessly connecting strategic foresight with operational details.

• Ideally, you have previous experience in the B2B or e-commerce sector, which enhances your understanding of our target customers and business models.

• You communicate confidently and fluently in both German and English, in written and spoken forms.
