Head of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overarching goals and growth aspirations.

• Oversee the processes of financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.

• Deliver insights and recommendations to the executive team rooted in financial data to influence business decisions.

• Supervise the creation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for the executive team and investors.

• Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and relevant regulatory bodies in the payments sector.

• Manage and enhance cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to maintain smooth operations and promote sustainable growth.

• Direct financial modeling and analysis to pinpoint key business metrics, growth prospects, and potential risks.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors, ensuring transparent and effective communication regarding the company's financial health.

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, encouraging a culture of collaboration, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate closely with product, operations, marketing, and sales teams to provide financial insights and advice that optimize business strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership position (ideally within the fintech or payments sector).

• Strong background in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

• Demonstrated success in managing and scaling financial operations in a rapidly growing startup environment.

• Proven experience working in multi-country companies, financial consolidation, currency management, and tax laws.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• An MBA or Master’s degree in Finance is preferred.

• Proficiency in advanced English.
