Head of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams, cultivating a high-performance, collaborative atmosphere and technical excellence.

• Develop and enhance a leadership culture centered on people, emphasizing continuous growth, autonomy, and talent retention.

• Collaborate closely with product teams and executive leadership, aiding in strategy formulation and ensuring alignment during execution.

• Guarantee the quality and operational efficiency of systems, focusing on reliability, monitoring, incident management, and technical support.

• Encourage the advancement of engineering practices by promoting the use of automation and artificial intelligence to enhance productivity and quality improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in senior engineering leadership positions.

• Proven record of building, structuring, and scaling technology teams within SaaS environments.

• Strong technical foundation with practical experience in backend system development (Python), APIs, and cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or similar).

• Experience in designing and managing distributed systems, emphasizing high availability, scalability, and production environments.

• Background in leading SRE, DevOps, or production engineering teams focused on reliability and operations.

• People-oriented leadership characteristics.

• Knowledge of integrating artificial intelligence tools within engineering frameworks.

• Proficient in English for effective communication with global teams and stakeholders, including interactions with teams in LATAM, Europe, and the Middle East.
