Head of Department – Software Development, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee a development team operating in a remote environment

• Accountable for the creation and enhancement of systems that guarantee the technical availability of wind turbines

• Advance and implement contemporary agile development methodologies

• Manage project planning, including roadmaps, prioritization, and resource allocation

• Cultivate an open, learning-driven team culture that emphasizes ownership and continuous improvement

• Ensure a cohesive and consistent data foundation by integrating and harmonizing data from various system landscapes

• Offer technical consultancy for cross-departmental digitalization initiatives

• Collaborate closely with technical teams to effectively execute projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Relevant professional experience in a leadership position within software development

• Comprehension of software architecture and scalable system design utilizing .NET / C#, Python

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps methodologies

• Knowledge of contemporary technologies (including container technologies and test automation)

• Basic understanding of IT security, code quality, and software lifecycle management

• Preferably, experience in critical infrastructure

• Strong mediation and communication skills between technical and business stakeholders

• Proficient in both German and English, spoken and written

• Willingness to travel occasionally and possession of a valid Class B driving license
