Head of Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the execution of data strategy, demonstrating a hands-on approach.

• Design and establish a definitive source of truth for essential business entities, implementing processes that ensure the organization is built on robust data foundations.

• Create data products that facilitate controlled, self-service access to data.

• Lead and mentor the data team, cultivating a culture of high performance and innovation.

• Take ownership of data quality and governance within an FCA-regulated environment, ensuring precise audit trails.

• Collaborate closely with the Salesforce team to manage Salesforce data models and guarantee comprehensive governance.

• Partner with the VP of Engineering to ensure alignment with broader technical strategies and business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in leading data projects within fast-paced settings.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, and contemporary data ingestion/transformation methodologies.

• Experience with Looker, dbt, and Python.

• Capability to develop Machine Learning models along with the necessary supporting infrastructure.

• Knowledge of modern data architecture patterns and real-time data systems.

• Familiarity with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) and analytics agents.

• Strong foundation in Agile methodologies and Git for version control.

• Exceptional people management, coaching, and communication abilities, with the skill to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Understanding of event-driven architecture.

• Experience with AI/LLM infrastructure and model evaluations.

• Background in fintech or regulated financial services.
