This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Establish the data function for an expanding multi-product HealthTech platform
• Develop the organization's data strategy and enhance the measurement of success across product teams and the entire business
• Evaluate the existing framework, collaborate directly with current analysts, and shape the next phase of the function
• Assist Recare in forming a clearer understanding of customer acquisition, product performance, and market expansion
• Link product usage data to business outcomes
• Convert data into actionable insights for business and product reviews
• Lead a team of analysts, assess the current organizational structure, and nurture the function over time
• Influence how data supports various teams including product, finance, RevOps, and marketing
• Determine the appropriate tools and infrastructure to meet the company's data requirements
• Collaborate with the AI engineering team to assess and measure the quality of AI outputs
• 8–10 years of experience in data roles, with a minimum of 3 years in leadership positions
• Progression in your career from analyst or data scientist to data leadership
• Strong experience in product analytics
• Proven track record in instrumenting products, defining significant metrics, conducting experiments, and correlating usage patterns with outcomes
• Experience working across multiple products rather than focusing on a single one
• Understanding of commercial metrics such as ARR, NRR, churn, and expansion, and how product data correlates with business growth
• Experience in building and scaling a data team from a small base into a comprehensive data organization
• Sound judgment regarding hiring priorities, structuring analysts across teams, and determining when to centralize versus embed
• Strong mentorship, coaching, and development capabilities for junior and mid-level analysts
• Clear viewpoints on tooling, including the pros and cons of tools like Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Metabase
• Experience in startups or scale-ups, particularly in companies transitioning through the $10–50M ARR phase
• Ability to act swiftly and make practical decisions without excessive complexity
• Comfort in regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, insurance, or similar is an advantage
• AI literacy, including the use of AI tools in daily operations and familiarity with LLM evaluation, quality scoring, and the generation and transformation of data by AI products
• Capability to be a credible partner to the AI engineering team without being responsible for model development
• Proficiency in English as a working language; German is a plus but not mandatory
