Head of Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete data lifecycle, from ingestion to delivery.

• Develop and sustain crawlers, API integrations, and vendor data feeds.

• Oversee the reliability of data collection and onboard new data sources.

• Manage the entire data pipeline from raw data to production.

• Implement automated quality assurance at every phase.

• Ensure schema integrity in BigQuery and PostgreSQL.

• Guarantee that downstream users receive consistent and well-documented datasets.

• Document every transformation rule and edge case meticulously.

• Contribute to the development of a data product that generates revenue from external customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL, with a preference for BigQuery.

• Experience with Python for orchestrating pipelines, transformations, and validations.

• Expertise in data modeling and schema design for datasets from multiple sources and markets.

• Skills in web scraping, crawler development, and API integrations.

• Knowledge of entity resolution and deduplication across diverse data sources.

• Familiarity with AI/LLM tools (such as Claude Code, Copilot, or similar).

• Capability to independently take full ownership of assigned tasks and drive them forward.

• Systematic approach to identifying gaps in pipeline coverage.

• Strong documentation practices for data systems are essential.

• A strong focus on ensuring data quality is crucial.
