Head of Collections and Recovery Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and continuously enhance Bondora’s multi-market collections and recovery operations.

• Spearhead the evolution of Collections & Recovery from a locally focused approach to a centrally managed, strategy-oriented operating model.

• Ensure that treatment strategies, processes, and performance management are standardized and effective across all markets.

• Operate at the crossroads of Operations, Credit Risk, Loan Servicing, Finance, and Product, driving improvements in portfolio performance and recovery results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in collections and recovery within consumer lending, fintech, or financial services.

• Demonstrated success in managing multi-market operations and scaling operational functions.

• Profound understanding of delinquency trends, recovery factors, and treatment strategies throughout the lifecycle.

• Experience in centralized or hub-and-spoke operational frameworks.

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to convert data into actionable strategies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of credit risk, portfolio performance, and the financial implications of recovery outcomes.

• Experience overseeing external partners, including debt collection agencies and legal service providers.

• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities within a matrix organization.

• Effective communication, structured thinking, and a strong sense of ownership.
