This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of the strategic multi-year funding roadmap that supports Achieve's growth, reporting directly to the President of Achieve Lending.
• Design and guide Achieve's diversified funding structure, focusing on cost of capital, certainty of takeout, capacity, and resilience.
• Architect and manage forward flow agreements, warehouse lines, the asset-backed securitization program, and align the credit box.
• Collaborate with Finance and Treasury to oversee corporate liquidity and ensure an operational buffer against market risk.
• Revamp legacy funding processes into an AI-driven Capital Allocation Engine utilizing algorithmic best execution methods.
• Sponsor and expand predictive pricing, investor allocations, risk/prepayment monitoring, and automated deal structuring.
• Supervise an institutional-grade unified loan data warehouse and a self-service investor reporting portal.
• Extend credit and stress scenario modeling to reflect the models used by major rating agencies.
• Enhance cross-functional operating rhythms between Capital Markets and other teams within Achieve.
• Integrate investor feedback, market insights, and shifts in asset preferences.
• Set funding criteria for new product launches and credit expansions.
• Align revenue recognition policies, corporate cost of capital metrics, and balance sheet deployment strategies.
• Develop the capital strategy and structural design for new lending products, including mortgages, auto loans, and credit cards.
• Collaborate with Credit Risk, Marketing, and General Managers of Business Units to optimize borrower acquisition, risk-adjusted returns, and investor interest.
• Build high-performing cross-functional teams across Investor Relations, Structuring, Investor Reporting & Data, Loan Products & Capital Strategy, and Risk & Portfolio Surveillance.
• Over 12 years of senior experience in consumer structured finance, investment banking, asset management, or fintech capital markets platforms.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience leading the Capital Markets function.
• A proven track record of managing programmatic ABS platforms.
• Experience in negotiating committed forward-flow and warehouse facilities.
• Proven ability to navigate complex liquidity environments.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or another highly quantitative field.
• Extensive knowledge of structural waterfalls, stress simulations, and advanced modeling techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage outcomes, treat investor demand as a managed portfolio, and link capital markets results to enterprise value creation.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills and a commitment to transparent communication.
• Experience in building high-performing, cross-functional teams across Investor Relations, Structuring, Investor Reporting & Data, Loan Products & Capital Strategy, and Risk & Portfolio Surveillance.
• An MBA, CFA, or advanced degree in quantitative finance is highly preferred.
