• Lead the product strategy and roadmap for Prior Authorizations.
• Establish our product strategy and roadmap for PAC Prior Authorizations to enhance coverage and utilization, while driving a reduction in length of stay for our hospital clients.
• Manage a dedicated engineering team of over 4 engineers; collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, and Clinical/Operations teams to deliver impactful features.
• Develop and sustain the cross-functional scorecard for Authorizations Adoption—covering metrics such as coverage, utilization, number of clients, and cost-per-auth.
• Supervise Prior Authorizations Operations for Outcomes.
• Lead a team of Operations Associates (managed by our Head of Customer Operations) to achieve desired outcomes; prioritize tasks, outline playbooks, and refine the operating model as we grow.
• Create scalable prior authorization operations to support a 2–3X increase in authorization volume while lowering the cost per authorization submission.
• Determine the optimal balance between software automation and human workflow; utilize AI tools to eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Manage cost-per-auth as a key performance indicator and consistently identify quick wins and structural enhancements.
• Forge new partnerships with payors, clearinghouses, and software collaborators to broaden authorization coverage.
• Oversee the payor coverage roadmap encompassing direct submissions, portal submissions, clearinghouse integrations, and fax-based workflows.
• Construct the commercial and operational rationale for each partnership, leading negotiations until agreements are signed and integrations are live.
• Represent Aidin to payors, clearinghouses (such as Experian and Waystar), and ecosystem partners.
• Supervise the implementation of prior authorizations with both new and existing clients, closely collaborating with the Onboarding Director and Implementation team.
• Develop repeatable, productized implementation processes for Authorizations, ensuring new clients activate more swiftly and with reduced bespoke efforts.
• Manage the transition from new-client signing to live, trained usage, ensuring implementation timelines are met.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success to enhance adoption and retention after going live.
• Partner with Marketing to refine positioning and develop customer-facing materials for Authorizations.
• Work with Support to decrease operational burdens and eliminate toil through product enhancements.
• Clearly communicate focus goals, initiatives, KPIs, and progress to the cross-functional team, Executive Leadership Team, and Aidin Board.
• 8–12 years of experience in Product Management, Strategy & Operations, or Management Consulting.
• Practical experience is essential—you have driven outcomes, led a team, and enacted significant change rather than merely creating presentations.
• Proven ability to own commercial outcomes and lead negotiations with external partners.
• Product-oriented mindset with a talent for enhancing systems, workflows, and user experiences; adept at drafting requirements for engineers and prioritizing a roadmap.
• Strong interpersonal skills; capable of leading meetings and managing executive relationships on both customer and partner sides.
• Exceptionally organized, analytically astute, and able to manage multiple threads while driving towards clarity.
• Proficient in AI tools and actively employs them to streamline work across product development, operations, and communication.
• Comfortable in a fully remote, fast-paced technology environment.
• Experience in line management is advantageous.
• Background in healthcare—particularly in prior authorizations, utilization management, revenue cycle, or payor/provider operations—is a plus.
