Head of Analytics Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead a dynamic team while collaborating closely with various business units.

• Convert complex business requirements into actionable data solutions.

• Clearly communicate analytical insights to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Work in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Managers, and Engineering teams.

• Define and take ownership of the multi-year technical vision and strategy for Analytics Engineering.

• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Analytics Engineers.

• Advocate for resource investment by developing business cases for senior leadership.

• Ensure that the analytics data estate is managed as a product with defined ownership and quality standards.

• Oversee the reliability, scalability, and accuracy of Paddle's analytics data estate.

• Uphold high standards of data governance, data quality, and documentation across the organization.

• Foster a culture of continuous learning.

• Extensive experience in leading teams of senior engineers.

• Proven track record in building and scaling high-performing analytics engineering teams.

• Strategic ownership of a technical domain.

• Strong product-oriented mindset regarding data.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Demonstrated senior stakeholder management abilities.

• Deep expertise in modern analytics engineering tools such as DBT, Snowflake, Fivetran, or their equivalents.

• Structured approach to data governance.

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.

• Working knowledge of semantic layers, including dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, or LookML.
