This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Meet annual revenue targets by engaging in consultative sales with new clients and expanding service offerings to existing clients.
• Create an annual Personal Development Plan that outlines both personal and professional objectives for the upcoming year.
• Establish a robust pipeline of qualified prospects by generating leads through personal contacts, external influencers, client referrals, CBIZ associates, and CBIZ marketing initiatives.
• Record activities, notes, and prospect information in the designated CBIZ systems.
• Formulate and deliver tailored recommendations to clients using a consultative selling strategy.
• Effectively close new business deals, documenting both successful and unsuccessful opportunities along with their respective reasons.
• Ensure a smooth transition for sold clients to the assigned client service team.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, cultivating strategic and personal relationships with key decision-makers.
• Collaborate with the client service team, when appropriate, to serve clients and maintain business relationships.
• Provide leadership with insights on market trends, competitor analysis, and relevant business intelligence.
• Identify, initiate, and facilitate cross-serving opportunities for other CBIZ business developers.
• Accountable for achieving annual sales objectives, if applicable to the role.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Some relevant experience in the industry.
• Must acquire necessary licenses and credentials.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in the use of relevant technology.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms across all organizational levels, internally and externally.
