Hands-On Tech Lead – PropTech, Real Estate Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead Technical Execution: Oversee the development of comprehensive features for a streamlined team, making practical trade-offs between rapid deployment and sustainable code quality.

• Ship from the Front: Stay actively involved, producing clean, production-ready code across the complete TypeScript ecosystem.

• Architect AI & Agentic Systems: Progress beyond basic implementations to implement customized agentic workflows, state machine logic, and tailored RAG pipelines.

• Engineer Trust & Reliability: Create bespoke guardrails, traceability frameworks, and algorithms to quantitatively assess, test, and validate the reliability of LLM outputs.

• Execute with Ambiguity: Convert high-level, unclear concepts into functional, operational code swiftly, emphasizing immediate execution over extended architectural discussions.

• Set Engineering Standards: Develop stringent code review practices, testing protocols, and guidelines for the responsible and mature utilization of AI coding assistants within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Language Expertise: Mastery of TypeScript with extensive experience in advanced patterns (e.g., Generics and Discriminated Unions) to enhance shipping efficiency.

• Backend Foundations: Extensive experience with Node.js, with a strong preference for Mastra or a proven history of crafting custom state-machine-driven backend logic.

• Frontend Frameworks: Strong skills in contemporary web development; our primary stack is SvelteKit, though React or Vue experts with the engineering aptitude to quickly learn new frameworks are highly encouraged to apply.

• Production AI Experience: Proven experience in deploying practical LLM-powered features or agents, along with a solid grasp of token costs, evaluations, and prompt safety measures.

• Pragmatic AI Tooling: Regular, advanced use of next-gen engineering assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) for boilerplate automation, coupled with the disciplined engineering mindset to manually debug syntax issues in a matter of minutes.

• Elite Full-Stack Generalist: The capability to navigate the entire web stack independently without being hindered by business-logic challenges or simple syntax errors.
