Guidance Consultant, Clinical EAP Intake and Triage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct remote assistance to clients regarding behavioral, emotional health, family matters, and wellness concerns.

• Conduct clinical intakes via telephone and connect clients with suitable resources, including therapists or counselors.

• Adhere to departmental protocols, best practices, and customer specifications.

• Address client issues and determine resources through critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Inform clients about available resources, eligibility criteria, and services offered.

• Keep thorough and precise case documentation in the proprietary database.

• Stay updated on emerging behavioral health trends and best practices.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure continuity of care and alignment with client-specific service requirements.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related Behavioral Health field.

• Exceptional active listening abilities.

• Proven capability to demonstrate empathy towards client concerns.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Experience in clinical assessment within mental health, chemical dependency, and crisis stabilization contexts.

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking capabilities.

• Experience working with clients in crisis situations.

• Keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Outstanding organizational skills.

• Highly self-motivated and reliable.

• Consistent work history is required.

• Proficient computer skills at an intermediate level.
