This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Perform inspections and evaluations related to industrial hygiene, including asbestos, lead, mold, radon, water quality, and indoor air quality.
• Gather and analyze samples, interpret findings, and propose corrective measures.
• Assist with projects by creating Statements of Work, preparing cost estimates, and reviewing invoices.
• Assess abatement and remediation plans for compliance with regulations and ensure completeness.
• Offer technical industrial hygiene guidance for construction, mitigation, and monitoring efforts.
• Address incidents, emergencies, and concerns related to industrial hygiene.
• Conduct risk assessments to verify adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
• Provide training and technical assistance to facility and project teams.
• Uphold certifications and ensure compliance with current industrial hygiene standards and practices.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a science-related discipline.
• At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in industrial hygiene relevant to the role.
• Proven understanding of industrial hygiene sampling techniques, laboratory analysis methods, and environmental health assessment practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a track record of presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF editing software.
• Valid State of Colorado certifications: Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist, and Lead Inspector.
• Current OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification, including an annual 8-hour refresher course.
• Participation in medical surveillance and medical clearance for respiratory protection in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.134.
• Capability to maintain necessary competencies, certifications, and licenses as per evolving industrial hygiene standards.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and written communication abilities.
