Grow Team Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide agronomic training through various methods including virtual sessions, in-person meetings, print materials, and in-field demonstrations to Grow Team Advisors.

• Collaborate with commodity managers and Senior Retail Agronomists to ensure training is aligned with portfolio strategies, seasonal priorities, and retail execution requirements.

• Act as a resource for technical escalation and enablement.

• Offer agronomic expertise and field validation in areas such as crop protection, seed, crop nutrition, private brands, biologicals, and fertilizers.

• Assist in sales and marketing initiatives by ensuring precise agronomic messaging and contributing to promotional campaigns.

• Serve as an agronomy subject-matter expert.

• Educate agronomists on best practices, value generation, and the consistent application of AgZone FIELD.

• Travel to local agricultural retail locations 3–4 days a week or as required.

• Collaborate closely with Grow Team members, ag retail management, Crop Supplies, and local CRS teams.

• Provide training, guidance, technical support, and agronomic business advice.

• Keep the Manager of Agronomic Market Development updated on weekly activities and regional agronomy changes.

• Support farm customers, manufacturers, and industry partners as a prominent agronomic influencer and subject-matter expert.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–9 years of progressively responsible experience in a relevant field.

• Preference for candidates with agricultural experience, including at least 5 years in field agronomy.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture.

• Candidates must either be registered or be willing to register with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists or the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists under The Agrologists Act.

• A Master of Science degree is preferred.

• CCA designation would be considered an asset.

• Willingness to travel to local Ag retails 3–4 days a week or as necessary.

• May be required to undergo a substance test, criminal background check, and provide a driver’s abstract in compliance with FCL policies.
