Group Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Guides and mentors veterinary teams across various VCA hospitals

• Ensures exceptional medical quality, patient safety, and client care

• Promotes the consistent provision of top-notch veterinary services

• Works in partnership with VCA Medical Affairs and operational leadership

• Advocates for patient safety, medical excellence, efficiency, and innovation

• Facilitates the professional growth of Medical Directors and veterinarians

• Assesses medical equipment to guarantee alignment with hospital requirements

• Addresses veterinary board and medically based client concerns

• Motivates and empowers medical teams for career advancement

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent from an accredited institution

• Over 8 years of pertinent veterinary practice experience

• More than 4 years of supervisory experience

• Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in each state of the assigned hospitals

• Specialty Board Certification in relevant specialty fields

• Proficient in electronic medical records and fundamental Microsoft Office applications

• Capability to read, write, and communicate in English

• Engagement in national or state veterinary associations

• Involvement in veterinary practice organizations (AAHA, NAVAS, VECCS)
