Group CFO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the formulation of both medium- and long-term financial strategies.

• Offer decision-oriented financial insights to the Board, investors, and funding partners.

• Produce precise and timely group budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections.

• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger, maintain audit readiness, and uphold full statutory and tax compliance.

• Proactively assess funding adequacy and liquidity across all countries and entities.

• Provide leadership to a high-performing finance and data team.

• Supervise significant procurement commitments and financial terms in contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA).

• Over 10 years of post-article experience with group-level responsibilities.

• Proven track record in analytics-driven decision support.

• Experience in international non-profit and multi-entity finance.

• Understanding of donor compliance.

• Expertise in Financial Risk Management within regional and sector contexts.

• Skills in consolidation, forecasting, and scenario modeling.

• Proficiency in cash flow and currency management.

• Knowledge of policy design and control frameworks.

• Experience with Board and vendor engagement.
