This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager (PM) and Delivery Manager (DM) to manage scope, schedules, risks, and quality effectively.
• Oversee the technical delivery of the project, leveraging your domain expertise in the relevant workstream.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the organization, facilitating cross-organizational coordination and providing independent mentorship to the project team.
• Prepare essential input data, including network model files, load and generation forecasts, future planning scenarios, resource availability, and generation cost data.
• Work in partnership with our Service Engineering development lead throughout the development cycle to ensure all custom deliverables align with defined requirements and standards.
• Troubleshoot software issues and document findings for the testing teams.
• Provide reports on project outcomes and present results to project partners and stakeholders.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering Discipline from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to elicit and manage requirements effectively.
• Knowledgeable about emerging trends in the energy industry and their implications for utility clients.
• Proficient with operating systems such as MS-Windows Server and Red Hat Linux.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and data storage solutions like Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Kibana, Grafana, and Kafka.
• Programming experience in software development using Microsoft Visual Studio/Development tools, Eclipse, along with C# and C++ programming languages.
• Background in software analysis, design, quality assurance, architecture, and Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with automated process deployment, continuous improvement (CI), continuous deployment (CD), GitOps, and Ansible.
• Experience in project testing methodologies such as Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and User Acceptance Test (UAT).
• Knowledge of web technologies and other programming languages including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Perl, Python, and RDBMS systems such as Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, as well as reporting tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and Crystal Reports.
