Grapple Truck Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment in compliance with company policies and D.O.T. regulations.

• Safely operates company vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws.

• Actively engages in daily safety briefings.

• Complies with all mandated safety policies and procedures.

• Utilizes grapples and magnets to move, stage, load, and unload railroad materials.

• Verifies that specifications, weight knowledge, and material handling procedures are established before starting work.

• Employs hydraulic tools, welding equipment, cutting torches, electrical tools, and standard hand tools to complete work assignments.

• Keeps daily job reports of production activities.

• Continuously monitors equipment and vehicles to reduce downtime and ensure operational readiness.

• Maintains vehicles and equipment by keeping them free of debris, organizing tools, and ensuring they meet the quality standards expected by our customers.

• Collaborates effectively and communicates well with customers and colleagues.

• Effectively prioritizes tasks and manages time in a safe manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a valid Class A CDL or Class B CDL.

• Experience driving a commercial vehicle with a manual transmission.

• Minimum of one year of experience operating a grapple truck equipped with hi-rail gear.

• Prior relevant experience in the railroad industry.

• Clean driving record, free of serious traffic violations or DUIs.

• Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug test.

• Must successfully complete training courses before starting employment.

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to climb ladders.
