This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lebanon.
• Collaborate closely with the MHPSS programme manager and the MHPSS programme team to create assessment reports, program overviews, and visibility materials, including information and education communication resources for the IOM MHPSS programme, in line with IOM publication standards.
• Conceptualize and produce infographics and illustrations for ongoing MHPSS programme initiatives, including but not limited to available services and referral pathways.
• Work alongside the MHPSS programme to assist local partners involved in the project with their communication needs and design-related products.
• Aid in the creation of visibility materials associated with capacity-building efforts under the project.
• Ensure that all designed or created materials are culturally sensitive and appropriate for the context. Translation and design of products into Arabic may be necessary.
• Engage closely with field teams, gather feedback, and implement required edits and revisions to the materials.
• Deliver design versions (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or other formats) and editable copies of created materials to the IOM MHPSS programme via Dropbox or other electronic sharing platforms.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related fields, including art and design.
• A minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience with UN agencies, INGOs, and local NGOs in both humanitarian and development settings.
• Prior experience in publishing IOM products is mandatory.
• Strong practical expertise in utilizing design software and technologies (such as Adobe Design Premium, InDesign, Illustrator, CorelDraw, Dreamweaver, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in graphic production from inception to published/printed product, with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and color management.
• Must provide at least 3 examples of previous work done for IOM.
• Previous experience working within the UN system is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Capability to work within a multicultural environment and respect diversity.
• Team-oriented with the ability to operate independently.
• Outstanding writing and communication skills.
• IOM provides coverage for Consultants against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP) at no cost for the duration of the consultancy.
• Consultants are responsible for securing their own medical insurance for non-occupational accidents or illnesses and must provide written proof of such coverage prior to starting work.
• Any offer made to the candidate regarding this vacancy notice is contingent upon confirmation of funding.
• Appointment will depend on certification that the candidate is medically fit for the role, as well as meeting any accreditation, residency, visa requirements, and security clearances.
