This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Norway.
• Oversee a designated portfolio and specialized area as specified by the Head of PCM and Grants Management, adjusting according to organizational priorities, workload, and expertise.
• Direct internal prioritization, funding allocation, or grant management processes that include coordination, documentation, communication, follow-up, and ongoing enhancements.
• Ensure precise and accessible grant information, documentation, and records are maintained in Cycles – NRC’s digital grants management platform – as well as other pertinent NRC systems.
• Facilitate donor and partner engagement, which includes delegated representation, clarifying requirements, providing negotiation support, and coordinating with consortium or implementing partners.
• Participate in Grants Management quality reviews, health assessments, and follow-up actions aimed at enhancing practices in Country Offices and across portfolios.
• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and professional development of Grants Management staff as needed.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to improve operations for global, private, corporate, and other non-traditional funding arrangements.
• Engage in communities of practice, promote organizational learning, and facilitate knowledge-sharing across NRC.
• Offer temporary support across portfolios during high workload periods, absences, or identified capacity shortfalls, as agreed upon with the line manager.
• Execute other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.
• A university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably at the master’s degree level.
• A minimum of five years of pertinent experience in Grants Management, program management, institutional funding, donor administration, or a related field within humanitarian or development sectors.
• Proven experience in managing complex proposals, agreements, implementation follow-ups, revisions, and donor reporting across various stakeholders or locations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of institutional and private donor requirements, contractual compliance, and effective management of donor-funded grants.
• Strong skills in planning, prioritization, and coordination, with the ability to handle competing deadlines and fluctuating workloads.
• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, capable of fostering collaborative working relationships across functions, cultures, and organizational levels.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French. Proficiency in Spanish or Arabic is a plus.
• High proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Grants Management systems.
• Experience with global, regional, multi-country, or otherwise complex grants.
• Experience in providing practical technical advice, coaching, and capacity building to colleagues at varying levels of experience.
• Ability to work independently while actively contributing to a collaborative and geographically diverse global team.
• Capacity to transition between operational delivery, technical development, and organizational learning.
• Flexibility and adeptness at managing ambiguity, shifting priorities, and sudden changes in workload.
• Duty station: Head Office (Oslo), any NRC Representative Office (excluding Geneva and Washington, D.C.), approved Employer of Record (EoR) locations, or Regional and Country Offices under hosted contract.
• Contract: Permanent.
