This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance with post-award financial management, closeout operations, amendment processing, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the agency's grant portfolio.

• Conduct thorough financial analyses related to grant closeouts and amendments.

• Generate executive and operational financial summary reports for the Grants Management Officer (GMO).

• Reconcile grant invoicing, drawdowns, and payment history.

• Analyze reconciliations to ascertain unliquidated obligation (ULO) balances and specific de-obligation amounts.

• Oversee administrative workflows for grant closeouts and amendments during the active performance period.

• Collaborate with grantees, CORs/AORs, and government representatives to complete technical and administrative closeout actions.

• Maintain current status tracking in internal databases and spreadsheets.

• Ensure compliance with OMB circulars, 2 CFR 200 Subpart E, 2 CFR 200.344, and agency-specific grant policies.

• Review grant files to identify missing documentation and inform the GMO of necessary corrective actions.

• Prepare detailed closeout packages and individual grant closeout reports.

• Utilize GrantSolutions to receive, process, review, and finalize grant amendment packages.


⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in federal grants administration, financial management, post-award management, or federal grant/contract closeout operations.

• Strong understanding of 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance), 2 CFR 200.344 (Closeout), OMB circulars, and principles of federal grant administration.

• Experience with or familiarity with GrantSolutions is preferred, or similar federal financial/acquisition platforms such as STAQS, PRISM, Phoenix, or Grant.gov.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, formulas, and pivot tables.

• Experience with tracking databases for financial reconciliation.

• Ability to pass a background investigation to obtain a Public Trust / Moderate Risk Security Clearance, which includes credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency checks.

• This is a remote position based in the Washington, DC Metro area, with occasional local client interaction at agency headquarters as necessary.
