This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and author proposals (primarily for amounts of $10K and above), letters of intent, RFPs, and reports that showcase PRP’s impact across various issues, crafting content into a unified, persuasive narrative using contributions from multiple teams;
• Collaborate with the Director of Institutional Giving to collect information from across the organization and establish consistent, repeatable methods for reporting programmatic updates, metrics, and impact;
• Work alongside the Senior Manager of Development Operations to track and manage grant deliverables in Asana, ensuring that each proposal and report progresses on schedule with the appropriate inputs;
• Oversee a variety of writing assignments and grant projects at different stages (e.g., programmatic scope, initial drafts, revisions, final submissions), managing multiple deadlines simultaneously and adapting to high-volume periods, budget planning, and campaign requirements;
• Liaise with finance and Salesforce teams to gather and organize financial reporting and metrics vital to the grant writer’s responsibilities;
• Collaborate closely with program, legal, and communications team members to remain informed about PRP’s initiatives and translate ongoing activities into materials for funders;
• Convert complex or evolving work into clear, funder-facing documents that align with PRP’s overall fundraising strategy and messaging;
• Participate in goal setting and grants management strategies within the Development department;
• Integrate prospect research, organizational metrics, and branded communication assets into grant writing outputs;
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows for grant writing and reporting, including optimizing how information is shared, tracked, and reused;
• Enhance team effectiveness by providing feedback, engaging in internal discussions, and contributing to the strengthening of the team's grant writing approach.
• Two (2) to four (4) years of professional experience in writing-intensive roles where written communication is a fundamental responsibility;
• Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or development work is advantageous but not mandatory;
• Proven success in producing structured and compelling written materials such as reports, proposals, advocacy, educational, or policy documents;
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or deliverables simultaneously, often with overlapping deadlines;
• Experience collaborating across teams to gather input and develop written content;
• Background in advocacy, policy, legal, communications, or other mission-driven sectors, or related fields;
• Proficient in translating complex or technical subjects into accessible, audience-friendly content;
• Familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., Asana or similar) for managing workflows.
