This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Provide management and advisory services for grants to ensure high-quality execution, effective risk management, targeted outcomes, adherence to donor commitments, and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
• Supervise the progress of implementations and guarantee that results and donor reports are submitted punctually, within budget, and in alignment with donor requirements.
• Develop and implement reporting and learning processes.
• Utilize Results-Based Management methodologies and tools to monitor objectives, outputs, and outcomes.
• Coordinate or assist with grant deliverables, which include start-up workshops, partner agreements, work plans, donor reports, annual reviews, evaluations, and close-out activities.
• Document and disseminate project achievements and insights through meetings, donor interactions, academic forums, and various communication channels.
• Assist with assessments, surveys, evaluations, and the establishment of MEAL systems in collaboration with WVC MEAL and technical experts.
• Aid in the preparation, review, and negotiation of donor contracts and amendments alongside the Grant Finance and Legal teams.
• Monitor financial performance, including expenditures, cash flow, overhead recovery, financial risks, and funding timelines, while identifying issues that require corrective action.
• Collaborate with Program & Policy, the World Vision Partnership, Field Offices, Regional Offices, the Global Centre, peer consultants, and internal teams.
• A university degree in international development, community/social development, business development, or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of proven experience in managing or providing advice on institutional donor-funded international grants and projects.
• Strong background in applying Results-Based Management techniques and designing or supporting Monitoring & Evaluation systems.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting or coordinating remote, cross-functional, and cross-cultural teams in the delivery of development projects.
• Experience in engaging with academic and/or research partners is a plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
• Keen attention to detail when reviewing project documentation and providing technical feedback.
• Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and cultures.
• Capability to manage multiple workstreams with sound judgment, initiative, and confidence.
• Willingness and availability to travel internationally as needed, approximately once per year, including to higher-risk environments.
• Status as an independent contractor or consultant; specific deliverables, timelines, level of effort, and duration will be defined by contract or terms of reference.
