This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Provide guidance and assistance to clients throughout the application, maintenance, and renewal processes for small business certifications, such as 8(a), SDVOSB, and HUBZone.
• Deliver practical support for structuring and overseeing Joint Ventures (JVs), ensuring compliance with SBA agreements and documentation.
• Assist with applications for the Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) and ensure ongoing compliance with program requirements.
• Advise clients on certification strategies, eligibility criteria, and their positioning within the federal marketplace.
• Oversee the lifecycle of certifications, including conducting annual reviews, updates, and recertifications.
• Manage SAM profiles effectively.
• Facilitate adherence to SBA reporting requirements, audits, and compliance evaluations.
• Review documentation related to ownership, control, affiliation, and eligibility, providing expert advice.
• Keep abreast of SBA regulations, program updates, and policy modifications.
• Collaborate directly with clients in an advisory role, ensuring precision, accuracy, and timeliness in all initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting SBA small business certifications, including 8(a), SDVOSB, and HUBZone.
• In-depth knowledge of SBA regulations, including eligibility criteria, affiliation rules, and program specifications.
• Hands-on experience with Joint Ventures and Mentor-Protégé Programs, focusing on structuring and compliance.
• Background in supporting SBA audits, reporting, and annual review processes.
• Experience within the government contracting sector (either as a prime or subcontractor).
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and priorities concurrently.
• Up to 15 hours per week; hours will vary based on client requirements.
• 1099 contract; hourly rate is negotiable.
