Governance & Compliance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement governance frameworks throughout the entire transition lifecycle, from feasibility to stabilization.

• Assist steering committees and project boards while upholding rigorous delivery methodologies.

• Identify, document, and mitigate critical risks and interdependencies across various cross-functional workstreams, facilitating prompt escalations and resolutions.

• Ensure that enterprise processes are in accordance with internal controls, corporate policies, and data protection regulations (such as GDPR), thereby supporting secure data migrations and system access.

• Maintain organized documentation and decision logs to aid in internal and external audits.

• Provide clear, KPI-driven status updates to senior executives.

• Balance demanding project timelines with strict compliance requirements, collaborating effectively with executive leaders across matrixed organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both German and English.

• Willingness to travel to Frankfurt as necessary.

• Availability to start immediately.

• Proven history of successfully navigating within stringent corporate governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks.

• Strong functional knowledge of internal controls within Finance, IT, HR, and Procurement domains.

• Extensive experience guiding large-scale transformation and transition initiatives from initial feasibility to final stabilization.

• Demonstrated capability to expedite project delivery timelines while rigorously adhering to compliance and operational guidelines.

• Highly skilled in relationship management, expectation management, and influencing decision-making at senior and C-suite levels.
